Candlelit grand piano awaiting an intimate Chopin concert in a historic Krakow interior
Launching in 2026

Chopin in Krakow.
An Evening to Remember.

An intimate concert experience dedicated to the music of Fryderyk Chopin, coming soon to Krakow in 2026.

A new concert series

Krakow Concerts is preparing an intimate Chopin concert experience for the city’s visitors and music lovers.

Krakow has always been a city of listeners. Between its courtyards, chapels and salons, music has a way of finding the right room. Krakow Concerts was founded around a simple idea: that the piano music of Fryderyk Chopin deserves to be heard in a small space, played on a fine instrument, for an audience close enough to hear the keys.

We are now building that series — a programme of Chopin piano concerts in Krakow shaped with care rather than in haste. The first evenings arrive in 2026. Until the dates, venue and performers are confirmed, we would rather tell you nothing than tell you something we cannot yet stand behind.

The Experience

An evening designed entirely around the music

The programme is still being written, but the intention is already clear. A Chopin concert in Krakow should feel less like an event and more like being invited into a room where something quiet and extraordinary is about to happen.

01

Live piano, close at hand

Solo piano at conversational distance — the pedal, the breath before a phrase, the silence between nocturnes.

02

A small audience

An intimate room rather than a large hall, so the evening keeps the character of a private recital.

03

Beautiful surroundings

A Krakow interior chosen for its acoustics and atmosphere, with candlelight and a sense of occasion.

04

An evening built around music

No distractions and no rush: arrival, listening, and time afterwards to let the programme settle.

Fryderyk Chopin

The composer who gave Poland a voice at the piano

Fryderyk Chopin wrote almost exclusively for the piano, and in doing so he changed what the instrument could say. The nocturnes, mazurkas, waltzes, ballades and polonaises hold a rare balance: technically demanding, yet spoken rather than declaimed.

Born in Poland and formed by its dance rhythms and folk cadences, he spent his later years in Paris while his music remained unmistakably Polish. That double life — exile and homeland, salon and memory — is part of why his work still carries such weight in Poland today.

A Chopin recital is therefore never only a concert. It is a national repertoire heard in the country it came from, in a city that has kept its cultural life continuously alive for centuries.

Krakow

Classical music as part of your stay in Krakow

Days in Krakow belong to the Main Square, Wawel, Kazimierz and long walks through the Planty. Evenings ask for something quieter. A classical concert in Krakow gives the day a close: an hour of piano music before dinner, within walking distance of the Old Town.

Close to the Old Town

We are looking for a setting that fits easily into an evening in central Krakow, reachable on foot from the Main Square.

An unhurried hour

Concise enough to sit comfortably before or after dinner, and complete enough to feel like the centre of the evening.

For every listener

Whether you know the ballades by heart or are hearing Chopin properly for the first time, the room is the same and so is the welcome.

Why Krakow Concerts

Our four commitments

01

Intimate musical experience

A small room, a short distance to the piano, and an audience scaled to the music rather than to the box office.

02

Exceptional artistic standards

Programme and performers chosen with the seriousness Chopin’s writing asks for — announced only once confirmed.

03

A memorable Krakow setting

A historic interior in one of Europe’s most atmospheric cities, selected for acoustics as much as for beauty.

04

A carefully curated evening

Everything from arrival to the final bar is considered, so the concert feels composed rather than assembled.
